Kennedy School of Government, a Post Graduate Diploma at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and a Bachelors of Business Administration at Makerere University. Leonard has also pursued studies at Harvard Business School and the MIT Sloan School of Management.

He has served as an Advisory Board Member at the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Rwanda, an Associate Partner at Dalberg, a Lead Consultant at the International Trade Centre, Co-Founder at NTARE Insights, a Fellow at Eisenhower Fellowships, a Regional Integration Advisor at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and East African Community/Trade Mark East Africa (TMEA), Head and Director of the Single Project Implementation Unit at the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Rwanda, a Consultant at OTF Group, and a Business Analyst at KPS Associates.
