Highlights
As we kick off this month, celebrating the rich, diverse and beautiful cultures and people that makes up the Latine community, I always take a moment to reflect on my own journey and to be grateful for all the amazing people that have been a part of it.
Growing up in a humble neighborhood in São Paulo 🇧🇷 , I never could have imagined that some day I would be here today. I always believed that perseverance, focus on education and pursuing the next attainable goal would lead to a better future for myself and with the support of some incredible mentors, a lot of hard work and my mother’s belief in me I made it through college, and through those early days in my career.
I had to learn at a young age to be resilient, creative, resourceful and to never give up. For me, the culture I grew up in and the community that supported me deeply shaped who I am as a person and I know many of my fellow Latine community members can relate.
For Latine women in tech, I know there are still barriers to break through and so much more work ahead, but I am so optimistic by the growth of our community in tech in recent years and especially by the rise of women in leadership roles. Representation matters, and I am proud to be part of Bumble Inc. today, a company of strong values, championing for a more inclusive tech industry where women and people of color can also lead the way. 💛
Happy Latine Hispanic Heritage Month!

It’s an inspiring time in America.
No matter how you choose to vote, the confirmation of Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee this week marks many firsts that point toward progress for women. Harris had already been the first woman, first daughter of immigrants, and first woman of color to hold the role of Madam Vice President. And now, Harris is the first woman of color to be nominated for President by a major political party.
I find that we can take times like these for granted. But it’s important to remember that women in positions of power are crucial for ensuring that the unique experiences, challenges, and perspectives of all women are represented and addressed in decision-making processes.
This, of course, is happening against the backdrop of women losing access to reproductive healthcare and having their ability to maintain bodily autonomy restricted across the United States - Bumble is actively working to protect and enshrine these rights for women nationwide.
But there are moments to celebrate the progression of American women.
As we enter our next election period, I am proud to be at a company that has been led by women since its inception, and has consistently used its voice to campaign and protect women’s rights. From advocating for the protection of women’s access to abortion, to endorsing bills to criminalize cyber flashing and supporting women in leadership - Bumble Inc. has remained committed to its founding mission of empowering women.
In today’s world we must keep championing for women’s equality. This is not a political move, but one entrenched in the belief of equal rights for all. 💛
