Liesl Page-Shipp is a highly experienced professional with 26 years of local and international expertise in the fields of Tuberculosis (TB), drug-resistant TB, and HIV. Her skill set includes technical guidance, proposal writing, grant management, stakeholder management, program evaluation, operational research, clinical trials, and clinical care. She has worked across NGO, public, and private sectors and has also served as an independent consultant. Liesl's educational background includes a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a focus on leadership from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh) from the University of the Witwatersrand. She has held significant roles at prestigious organizations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as the TB & HIV Senior Programme Officer, and has also worked as a Public Health Consultant under her own consultancy. Prior to this, she held directorial positions at Interactive Research and Development, The Aurum Institute, and Right to Care, in addition to serving as a Deputy Director at The Aurum Institute and as a Consultant at Aragon Consulting.
