Linda O'Mullane is a distinguished leader in the field of renewable energy and economics, with a wealth of experience in managing and developing innovative energy solutions. As the Senior Manager of Distributed Energy Resources at NEOM, she plays a pivotal role in advancing sustainable energy initiatives that empower communities and businesses alike to transition towards a cleaner, more sustainable energy future. Her work is firmly rooted in her strong educational background, which includes a Diplomvolkswirt in Environmental Economics from Hagen University in Germany and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from La Trobe University.
In her professional journey, Linda has made significant contributions through her roles at various reputable organizations. She co-founded Hub Energy Solutions, where she helped design and implement strategies for integrating renewable energy sources into the wider energy market. Linda also founded InFinET Energy Analytics, a company that specializes in microgrid development and Virtual Power Plants (VPP). Under her leadership, InFinET Energy Analytics has expanded its capabilities, bringing together the strengths of both Better Welt and InFinET to offer comprehensive financial feasibility studies and innovative Energy as a Service models that support renewable energy uptake.
Prior to her roles in startups, Linda gathered substantial experience as a Regulatory Specialist at the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) and as an Associate Director at EY. Her strategic insight, gained as a Commercial Strategy Manager at Jemena, and her roles with Palisade Integrated Management Services, Oakley Greenwood, and the Queensland Competition Authority reinforce her deep understanding of energy markets and regulatory frameworks. Furthermore, her commitment to education and research is evident in her previous positions as an Associate Lecturer at La Trobe University and a Research Assistant at RMIT University, where she contributed to shaping the next generation of leaders in economics and energy policy.
