I know this isn’t a new topic, but it’s becoming like that bad song you can’t get out of your head. Yes, technology is amazing, and I’m all for tools that make life easier. But bringing a bot to these types of meetings? It’s like showing up with a sign that says, “I’m not interested enough to truly listen.”
We can do better. Take the time to actively listen, engage in the conversation, and maybe even jot down a few notes. Be present. Meetings are meant for building genuine human connections, not just for recording information to sift through later. Let’s be honest—none of us are dropping life-altering revelations or world-changing strategies here, and we’re definitely not that important.
But, if you must…..
At the very least, ask before you invite your bot, and respect the answer if someone declines. Respect and active participation should be our default, not the exception.
