Are you addicted to automation? 😲
We all love things to be easy. Including our finances.
Many of my clients lean in on automation to help with:
✅Auto-bill pay ✅Setting up automated investment rules ✅Scheduling money flows and transfers
While it's great to have these transactions set up for seamless ease, the danger lurks in the potential to forgetting to spot check.
It can be easy to forget about these things when they happen automagically.
But automatic doesn't mean it's no longer important and doesn't require our attention.
Here are a few things that happen when you fail to keep a keen eye on automatic transactions:
🚫You could miss fraudulent activity 🚫You could overdraw if there's a sudden uptick in your bills 🚫Transfers can fail 🚫You could overfund a limited account and incur fees
These are just a few examples of how automation can cost you money.
If you haven't done a check-in lately, let this post be a call to action to see how things are going so you can avoid unpleasant surprises down the road.
Do you use automation for your finances? Let us know in the comments.
