Lisa Sherrill Kerchinski is a seasoned professional in higher education, with a diverse background encompassing both public and private institutions. She has held various roles in leadership, coaching, training, project and program management across different universities.

Currently serving as the Director of Career Development at the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State University, Lisa is actively involved in guiding scholars in their career paths, facilitating career development, fellowships, graduate school applications, and job/internship searches. Additionally, she provides advisory support to multiple student organizations within the university.

Lisa's scope of work extends beyond the immediate academic environment, as she collaborates with colleagues, employers, and alumni to create networking opportunities and career-focused programs aimed at enhancing students' professional growth.

Her role as a Penn State Administrative Fellow for the 2019-2020 academic year has further exposed her to the intricate challenges present in higher education, underscoring her commitment to fostering improvements within the academic sector.

Lisa specializes in various areas such as career coaching (including job and internship searches, self-assessment, resume writing, interviewing skills, and networking), program planning and management, team building, orientation, service learning, and volunteer training. She also holds MBTI certification, showcasing her expertise in utilizing this tool for personal and professional development.

Lisa's educational background includes a Master of Science in College Student Personnel from Indiana University Bloomington and studies in Interpersonal and Public Communication at Bowling Green State University.

Throughout her career, Lisa has held key positions in prestigious institutions like Penn State University, University of Cincinnati, Ashland University, Florida Southern College, and Vanderbilt University, where she has contributed significantly to areas such as career counseling, coordinating internships, directing community service initiatives, managing Greek life programs, and overseeing annual giving programs, among others. Her extensive experience highlights her versatility and capability to excel in various facets of higher education.
