Lola Lafia is a passionate individual with a strong affinity for organization and structure in various aspects such as communities, societies, information, and data. Their academic pursuits in computer science and philosophy are driven by this interest in organization and the exploration of ideas.

A current focus of Lola's lies in innovative, non-hierarchical educational models like peer-to-peer learning that transcends traditional classroom boundaries. They devoted time off from their undergraduate studies to nurture their startup, Schefs, a platform fostering meaningful discussions among college students worldwide on topics close to their hearts. Lola is also an aspiring performance artist and music enthusiast.

Lola's educational background includes studying Photography at the International Center of Photography, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Philosophy, and Architecture at Columbia University in the City of New York, and completing a 4.0 program at Bard High School Early College.

With a rich history of involvement in various organizations, Lola has served as the CEO & Co-Founder at Schefs, an Investment Partner at Dorm Room Fund, held positions in Product Management at Kift, and was a Womxn Ignite Fellow at Womxn Ignite. They have also contributed as an Operating Committee Leader at the Columbia Organization of Rising Entrepreneurs, a Coordinator at Almaworks, a Business Development & Growth Intern at RunFriendly, and an Intern at BANK Gallery Booth at Frieze. Additionally, Lola has experience as a Founder & Chef at Teen to Table, Staff Photographer at Columbia Daily Spectator, Photographer at Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, Growth Marketing Intern at BLACKre, iOS App Developer at the American Museum of Natural History, and Assistant Photographer at ONEBYME.
