13 months ago, I embarked on the incredible journey of becoming an ICF-certified coach. After 168 client coaching hours, 90 certified training hours, 10 mentor coaching hours, a recorded performance evaluation, and a 3-hour written exam—I am happy to share that I am now officially certified!
This wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of many amazing people. Thank you to everyone who encouraged and supported me with your actions, words, and presence. So in learning from the world we become more Brave. And we are too often like an ostrich plunging our heads into the ground sure it is safer in the ground but it is not a life well-lived. The world as we see it is full of pretense. We are often told so much about reality that it can be tempting to accept all this pretense as truth due to obligations to custom, our own timidness, or simple laziness. However, Emerson enlightens us that the world belongs to those who can see through its pretension. Our image of the world may indeed be a lie, and recognizing it as such deals a mortal blow to that illusion."
