When you know me, you know I’m all about experimenting, testing new concepts, and pivoting when needed (using my own life as the biggest lean experiment that is constantly pivoting :).
For those who don’t know; I got a piece of land in Portugal about 1.5 years ago, where I live off-grid, fully immersed in nature.

Ever caught yourself daydreaming, only for your mind to hit the brakes? You can almost touch your dreams, but figuring out how to reach them feels like navigating a maze blindfolded.
Society loves to box things in—telling us certain passions can't blend, like oil and water. But look back: remember when what you have now was once just a distant wish? That's the magic of dreams, combined with perseverance and faith.
Nearly a decade ago, I nervously stuttered through a TEDX Youth talk about following your dreams with Swapp, my then startup (yes, it's still online to my surprise as well, the internet never forgets apparently :p: https://lnkd.in/dXpQgYTr).
Back then, reusing fashion was a no-no, but now platforms like Vinted and @UnitedWardrobe are thriving. I was fortunate to play a small role with Swapp in the early days.
Society often raises eyebrows at those who color outside the lines. There's an unspoken rulebook, making us feel rebellious for dreaming big. But let's toss that mindset aside. Chase your dreams, even when naysayers mutter, "It can't be done," or "That's not how the world works." The world works the way you make it I say.
Go back five or ten years ago: Your dream seemed distant, maybe not achievable, tough, maybe even seemed impossible. You may have doubted yourself, wondering if you were just day-dreaming. Yet here you are—you made it! Celebrate your victories.
Whatever you're striving for now, recall your past successes and trust in your ability. You've come this far already, something you maybe would applaud your younger self for.
A decade back, I dreamed of living by the ocean, feeling the sand beneath my feet every day, and the sun on my face. But then the mind kicks in: "How will you earn money?" Over time, I learned to focus on the joy of that dream. Now, I live near the ocean, working remotely in the same industry, on my own land, living sustainably with minimal expenses—a dream realized beyond my wildest expectations.
This isn't about boasting or to brag, but proving the power of dreams over doubts. When you truly believe, you achieve. To all the dreamers out there: you've got this. Where you stand today once existed only in your dreams. Keep believing, embrace the journey, and remember—the world bends to those who dare to dream. Pursue your passions, challenge the norms, and build a life that ignites your soul.
Ten years ago, I cycled through Amsterdam, dreaming big. Now, here I am, living those dreams (and bolder) continuing crafting new ones.
