Louisa Medhurst is a highly experienced humanitarian adviser with a strong background in international human rights and peace studies.

Louisa Medhurst holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Human Rights from the National University of Ireland, Galway, and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Peace Studies and International Relations from Lancaster University.

Currently, Louisa Medhurst serves as a Humanitarian Adviser in the Early Warning, Risk, and Preparedness Team at the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office.

Previously, Louisa held prominent roles such as Humanitarian Adviser at the UNDP and Humanitarian Adviser positions in Nepal, Ethiopia, and Syria under the Department for International Development (DFID).

Louisa Medhurst also has extensive field experience, having worked as an Information, Counselling, and Legal Assistance Programme Manager at the Norwegian Refugee Council in Southern Sudan and as a Protection and Advocacy Advisor at the same organization.

Furthermore, Louisa Medhurst has served in various roles with the United Nations, including as an Associate Humanitarian Affairs Officer and Transitional Strategy Consultant at the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Dili, Timor-Leste.

Louisa Medhurst's expertise extends to aid coordination, as evidenced by her role as an Aid Coordination Officer at the Local Aid Coordination Secretariat.
