Louise Davis Langheier is the Co-Founder and former CEO of Peer Health Exchange (PHE), a national nonprofit organization founded in 2003. PHE aims to empower young people by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and resources to make healthy decisions. The organization achieves this by training college students to deliver a comprehensive health curriculum in under-resourced public high schools. Under her leadership, PHE expanded significantly, training over 15,000 college students to educate 200,000 high school students across the United States.12
Louise's inspiration for PHE stemmed from her experiences growing up in San Francisco during the HIV/AIDS epidemic and her volunteer work with Project Open Hand. While studying History at Yale University, she co-founded Community Health Educators, the program that later evolved into PHE.23
In addition to her work at PHE, Louise has been actively involved in other initiatives. She serves as Board Chair for I AM ALS, a patient-driven movement focused on curing ALS and supporting patients. Currently residing in San Francisco with her husband and three sons, Louise continues to advocate for health education and social impact through various roles, including her involvement with the Luminary Impact Fund.25
