Louise Levien is a seasoned professional who retired from ExxonMobil in 2017 after a successful career that involved various technical and managerial roles.

During her time at ExxonMobil, Louise was involved in research across different disciplines, managed research programs, and worked in Planning and Analysis.

Her notable achievements include co-authoring management systems to support cross-functional research and oversee ExxonMobil's upstream research program.

Post-retirement, Louise has actively engaged in volunteering, notably with the M. D. Anderson Venture Mentoring Service, mentoring new ventures within the University of Texas system.

She also played a key role as a mentor for an M. D. Anderson team at the NSF I-Corps 2018 Spring Bay Area Cohort.

Furthermore, Louise has been an integral member of the Licensing Executives Society USA & Canada (LES), where she has spoken at various levels and held leadership positions, such as Houston Chapter Chair and Board of Trustees member.

In recognition of her significant contributions, Louise was honored with the 2018 LES Frank Barnes Mentor Award for her dedication to mentoring licensing professionals.

Apart from her involvement in LES educational programs and teaching roles, Louise is a Certified Licensing Professional with two patents under her name.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Sciences from Brown University and Master's and Doctorate degrees in Geochemistry from Stony Brook University.
