After many years of service in NSW Health, I’m embarking on a new chapter as I relocate to Far North Queensland. I’m thrilled to have secured a part-time Nurse Practitioner position in an Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs Service, where I can continue my passion for supporting individuals with substance use issues .

However, I’m disappointed to discover that there is no St John Ambulance in Far North QLD. Volunteering and supporting the mental health and wellbeing of first responders has always been a core part of my life’s work, and I’ll miss being part of that incredible community.

With extensive experience in drug and alcohol services, mental health, wellbeing and life style medicine I’m looking to supplement my current role with an additional one-day-per-week remote opportunity. If you know of any positions or projects where my skills could make a difference, I’d love to connect.

Thank you for your support as I navigate this new journey!

🌟 Celebrating 20 Years with St John Ambulance (NSW) 🌟

Volunteering has been my passion for the past two decades. During this time, I’ve had the privilege to deploy to floods and fires, serve as the State Peer Support Coordinator, deliver education and training to fellow volunteers, and most importantly, form lifelong friendships and share countless laughs.

Although I won’t be able to attend the awards ceremony, I’m looking forward to many more years of service, support, and camaraderie. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey with me! ❤️🚑
