Luke Freeman is a social entrepreneur, technologist, and marketing specialist who currently serves as the Head of Giving What We Can, focusing on motivating people to give more effectively.

Luke has a diverse professional background, having previously been the CEO and co-founder of Positly, where he played a pivotal role in the company's growth. He also successfully developed Sendle from a concept to being the #1 rated courier in Australia.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Luke is known for his varied interests and achievements. He started university at the age of 15, launched his first business at 8, and represented Australia in rowing. He has also undertaken numerous cycling challenges and contested a seat for federal parliament.

Education-wise, Luke has a strong academic background, having studied Media at Macquarie University, Communication at Simon Fraser University, and Internet Studies at Curtin University of Technology.

Luke's professional experience spans across various roles in different organizations, including serving as a former Marketing Manager at Sendle, Marketing & Social Media Manager at TuShare, and Marketing Consultant at Freeman Consulting Pty. Ltd.

Furthermore, Luke has held positions such as Executive Director at Giving What We Can, Board Member at Positly, and Digital Marketing Class Instructor at General Assemb.ly.

He has also contributed to organizations like Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Downstream Marketing (now Adobe Marketing), and SFU Summer Publishing Workshops in roles related to marketing, events, and market research.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Luke enjoys a range of hobbies such as long walks, rock climbing, playing music, brewing beer, and reading non-fiction. He is passionate about plant-based food, plays multiple instruments, and dreams of owning a grand piano.

Furthermore, Luke's personal life includes being married to his university sweetheart, being a proud uncle and a cat dad to two cats while also fostering others.
