Luke Sulfridge is a highly educated professional with a diverse background in safety, security, emergency management, environmental politics, and government relations. Holding a Master of Science in Safety, Security, and Emergency Management from Eastern Kentucky University, a Master's Certificate in Emergency Management from the same institution, and an M.A. in Political Science with a focus on Environmental Politics and Policy Analysis from Appalachian State University, Luke's academic credentials are impressive. He also completed his Bachelor's degree in Political Science with minors in History and Appalachian Studies at Berea College.

Leveraging his extensive educational background, Luke has held prominent positions in various organizations. He currently serves as the Executive Director at Southeast Ohio Public Energy Council (SOPEC). In the past, he has worked as the Ohio Program Director at Solar United Neighbors, Outreach Coordinator at Catholic Charities West Virginia, Assistant Field Organizer for a US Presidential Campaign, Regional Bioterrorism Preparedness Trainer and Medical Reserve Corps Coordinator at Lexington Fayette County Health Department, Program Director at Boy Scouts of America, Government Relations Field Director at the American Cancer Society, and Residence Hall Director at both Appalachian State University and Marietta College.
