Highlights
new adventure
Friday was my last day at Drift.
5 years ago, I was a 21 yr old CS student set on landing a second co-op at AirBnB, LinkedIn, or Google (and not succeeding...).
I’d always wanted to start a company, and Vignesh convinced me that learning from former founders was a better path than padding my resume.
After getting to see several products go from idea to mass customer adoption, working on cutting-edge AI tech, managing a team, and attending a few concerts (What So Not iykyk), I'm ready to admit that he was right.
I can't thank Elias Torres ⚡️ and David Cancel enough for the opportunity to ride this rocket ship. More than my career development, Drift's been a huge part of my development as a person and I take their values with me.
Massive thank you as well to all the friends I've met along the way. Drift is a group of super talented, smart, fun, and driven people and most of my best memories over the past 5 years are with them. For anyone looking to grow and be happy, I believe it's a great place to be and I'd love to take the time to convince you to join.
I still have the same goal as 21 yr old Luke to start a company, and towards that goal I'm spending the next ~6 months learning about and building on blockchains. After a 2 hr conversation with Arjun Balaji and several weeks of reading, I'm convinced that it's the next frontier for software changing the world and I'd like to be a part of it.
Excited to share more as it comes.
