Lydia Atieno Opiyo is a highly experienced program, partnership development, and resource mobilization specialist with over a decade of experience in international development programs in East and Central Africa.

Throughout her career, Lydia has demonstrated expertise in private sector engagement, new business development, program development, management, implementation, and evaluation, as well as partnership development and management, resource mobilization and management, and strategy development and implementation.

Lydia has a strong background in stakeholder engagement, inclusion, and participation, overseeing work in 14 countries within East and Central Africa and establishing partnerships with various entities including donors, government institutions, private sectors, and non-governmental organizations.

Her educational qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and Community Development from Kenyatta University, a certificate in Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School, and an Executive Course certification in Public-Private Partnership from Strathmore Business School.

Currently pursuing a master's degree in International Humanitarian Affairs at the University of York, Lydia is a member of the Project Management Institute and the Association for Project Management, indicating her commitment to professionalism and expertise in project and program management.

With a rich professional background that includes roles at prestigious organizations such as UNOPS, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Engineers Without Borders Canada, and VSO, Lydia has a proven track record of driving impactful development initiatives in the region.
