Donated to those in need, from our hearts…💓💓💜
I am currently in Trujillo, Honduras, taking care of family matters.
We have donated two twin beds to a local housekeeper. She has 2 boys, 13 and 12.. and two girls, 6 and 7, who were sharing a couple of mattresses. We donated all the twin sheets and pillowcases, and other assorted items that they could use, including the colorful garden flags that she put up over the bed! I think my sister Julia and Brother-in-law Ken, would be happy about this donation!💓💓
👋👋👋 Happy Friday afternoon from not so sunny Port Moody, BC😊.
As I was updating my calendar for the next couple of weeks, I realized Thanksgiving will be here before we know it! 🦃🦃
As most of you know, I have been volunteering at the Greater Vancouver Food Bank a few days a week since April. I must say, my role has been quite the eye opener, talking to clients and imparting information on the phone, responding to emails and letters. The stories I hear touch my heart deeply and I know we do what we can to help. This time of year is especially tough on many, as more jobs have been eliminated and quite a few never thought they would have to use a food bank.
With that said, I encourage my family and friends across the country to Donate to your local food bank, whether it be in time or money... no amount is too small.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, wishing you all well, and hope you have a great weekend!💖💖💖💖
