Lynda McCaffery

Lynda McCaffery is a seasoned professional with over thirty years of experience in radio journalism, production, and broadcasting across various sectors including Community, Commercial, and Public, with her most recent role at ABC Darwin/NT and previously at ABC North Queensland.

Apart from her extensive journalism background, Lynda has also ventured into tertiary-level journalism education, having taught at esteemed institutions such as UTS (Sydney), Monash University, RMIT University, JCU, and Batchelor Institute.

With a Master of Education from James Cook University and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in History and Psychology from the University of Sydney, Lynda combines her academic prowess with hands-on experience in media, marketing, promotions, and event management.

In addition to her roles in education, Lynda has held various positions in different organizations such as Darwin Visual Arts Association, NT Dance Company, Sea Turtle Foundation, Beautiful Productions, and many more, showcasing her versatility and leadership capabilities in diverse settings.

Throughout her career, Lynda McCaffery has been actively involved in promoting educational pathways for Indigenous Australians into higher education, a cause she remains passionate about, aligning with her role as a Senior Research Fellow with Charles Darwin University's Office of the PVC - Indigenous Leadership (OPVCIL).
