Madeleine Achgill is a curious and self-directed eLearning designer with a passion for creating online educational materials. She excels in vision-oriented organizations, where she develops lessons, assessment items, lesson plans, teaching guides, and video trainings using course authoring software, G-Suite, Markdown, and HTML. Madeleine is also a meticulous proofreader and editor of course materials.
In addition to her design skills, Madeleine has experience as an empathetic tutor and coach, having worked with over 75 adult learners aged 21-31 in both individual and small group settings. She is also the co-director of Her Virtual Office, an online community that supports and connects over 500 female freelancers, small business owners, and entrepreneurs.
With a background in languages, Madeleine is a native English speaker with professional fluency in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. She is a distinguished scholar, having been recognized nationally as a Boren scholar, Fulbright-Hays scholar, Stamps scholar, and UWC Davis scholar.
Madeleine's education includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Studies with a focus on Chinese, along with minors in Spanish and Environmental Studies from the University of Mississippi. She furthered her studies in Chinese Language and Literature at Nanjing University as part of the US Chinese Flagship Program Capstone Year. Additionally, she studied International Relations at Universidad de Belgrano, Mandarin Chinese at Shanghai University, and spent her Junior and Senior year of high school at UWC-USA.
Throughout her career, Madeleine has held various roles in different organizations, including her current position as an Educational Content Writer at Mindojo. Previously, she was a Partner at Her Virtual Office, a Verbal Curriculum and Instruction Lead at Merchant GMAT, a Chinese-Spanish Translator at Ding Hong Tour, a Trip Leader at Ole Miss Outdoors at the University of Mississippi, a Chinese Tutor at the University of Mississippi, a Transportation Intern at the Office of Sustainability at the University of Mississippi, and a Student Representative for the UM Green Fund Committee. She also participated as a Rotary Youth Exchange student to Quito, Ecuador with the Rotary Youth Exchange program.
