Highlights
Had a great time volunteering this weekend alongside my WSGR colleague, Davelyn Couch, as poll observers with Common Cause and Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Asian Law Caucus!
We visited various polling sites in our county on Saturday, observing and gathering data specifically with regard to availability of translated voting materials, disability access requirements, same day voter registration, and provisional ballots.
I’m thankful to live in a country where I have a right to vote and where I can help ensure that right is protected for others as well!
(Also, very grateful that Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati gives us a constant flow of opportunities to volunteer with meaningful causes like this!)

One big takeaway from my time with the legal team at Qualtrics (pre-law school) was that in addition to having the legal skills and acumen to keep the company in compliance/mitigate risk, a key part of company counsel's role is to understand how the business works, what the business is working towards, and what the company needs the most in the present moment.
(And shoutout to those lawyers (and non-lawyers) that raised me - Blake Tierney, Mark Creer, Michael Robertson, Erin Goodsell, Sydnee Christensen, Keigo (KC) Decker, Romy F.I.!)
Though I am now on the other side of the table, at a law firm and working with many diverse clients instead of just one, I've still found this principle to ring true.
So I've been using some of my down time to dig into resources like This Week in Startups and How I Built This to continue building out my vocabulary and understanding of how startups and growth-stage companies operate. But I'm looking for more - I'd love any favorite podcasts, newsletter, or accounts you follow and love that fall into this bucket of content!
