In the United States, we’re about to celebrate the Labor of Day weekend. It’s that time of year to say so long to the extended days of summer and get back to school and work. And it’s always a mix of emotions.

That just about sums up my feelings of writing this post. For me, Google has been a place that I’ve grown so much professionally and personally. And after nearly 13 years, it’s time to move onto something new…

But first, I wanted to share that I’m forever grateful to the community there who inspired me and deeply cared for how we design for billions of users. Only at Google could I also enjoy so many career chapters—from defining Google’s brand voice as a founding member of the Content Design role profile and Google Brand Guidelines co-author to creating products in Search, Maps, Shopping, Travel, Payments, and more! In my latest chapter for the past 6 years, I’ve had the distinct privilege to shape how technology can enhance people’s wellbeing with Digital Wellbeing, Fit, Google Fitbit, and Pixel Watch.

Thank you to my Google colleagues and team members for making the years so very worthwhile!

And I’m excited to say that this post marks the beginning of what’s next, which I’ll share soon.

But first, I'm off to savor Labor Day weekend…

The big day is here: the newly redesigned Fitbit app is rolling out! A huge shoutout to the outstanding Fitbit UX team I've had the pleasure working with on this multiyear journey! From defining critical user journeys to envisioning Fitbit's take on Material Design; from taking action on people's feedback in our Beta release to delivering this new experience to people around the world.

I'm equally proud to have worked alongside a highly collaborative, dedicated group of product managers, engineers, program managers, customer support specialists, and marketing teammates who care just as much as I do about maintaining the quality bar as we deliver on our shared mission to help the people we're serving live happier, healthier lives...
