Maheen Ahmed is a legislative staffer with a strong background in legislative affairs, policy advocacy, and community organizing. She possesses expertise in policy-making, nonprofit organization management, research, and communications.

Maheen's educational journey includes a Master's degree from the University of Southern California - Sol Price School of Public Policy, a B.S. in Community and Regional Development from the University of California, Davis, and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Policy and Government from California State University-Sacramento.

Throughout her career, Maheen has held various roles in impactful organizations such as Legislative Director, Legislative Aide, Jesse M. Unruh Assembly Fellow at the California State Assembly, as well as positions at UC Davis Center for Poverty Research and UC Davis Center for Regional Change.

Her experience also includes internship roles at the Center for American Progress, CAIR-Sacramento Valley, where she served as Programs & Development Coordinator, Special Project Coordinator, Communications Coordinator, and gained valuable experience as a Student Engaged Scholar and Programs & Communications Intern.
