This is one of the most important initiatives to launch in the youth mental health space that I have seen. Congratulations Nancy Santiago and all the partners involved in making this a reality!!! I remember when Nancy invited other youth mental health leaders and me to a private roundtable at the 2023 Clinton Global Initiative convening to discuss this very topic: How might we start a movement that enables youth to continue to be at the frontlines of the problem that impacts them the most?

Centering youth leadership -- giving young people opportunities to heal and grow together -- is one of the most critical areas and opportunities to accelerate youth wellbeing. Especially when most young people would rather turn to a peer than an adult as they reach out for mental health support. I wish I had access to this program, both as a Corps member, and as a young person who struggled in silence for over 10 years.

I'm very excited to see this come to fruition and can't wait to see its expansion across the country!

Thank you Nancy for your vulnerability and leadership. ❤️

If you're a young person in Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota and Texas sign up to join the corps this fall! If you're in other states, look out for 2024 for the expansion!

Huge congrats to everyone involved, making a huge impact in youth mental health: Kelsey Noonan, Sara Bathum, Sheri Schultz, Michael Smith + everyone else!

If you think the price of mental health prevention is too high, wait till you get the bill for illness/treatment/turnover/burnout.
