Highlights
One year ago today I quit my job. It was a dream job, but I had another dream that was not leaving me alone: to travel the world.
After 10 months of traveling, I continued working a few months ago. Not on my laptop but with people, in a boutique thermal resort in the middle of the mountains in New Zealand. As a yoga instructor, sauna guide (!), receptionist and a housekeeper. If my travels were an eye-opening, mind-reforming experience, this has certainly been one too.
I'm happy that in this modern world, I don't have to climb the ladder or walk the pre-set path. I rather think of my world and work as islands that I can explore, people I can meet, experiences I can share, and skills and lessons I can learn.
I wrote about some interesting things I realized on my 10-month work break and a year of travel, link in the comments!
