Ha!! Sometimes my brain works pretty well during interviews 😆 I was in good company with my friends, Matt Lowry @mattlowrylpp and Dr. Angela Lauria @drangelalauria. They are both fantastic hosts of the @autisticculturepodcast - this podcast is now in the top 1 % most searched podcast!!!
Matt is an #autisticpsychologist who does online presentations with me, and Angela brings out the best in you with her questions. Matt is also the moderator of Autistic Connections on Facebook.
In this podcasts we mostly talk about the broken medical and educational system, and why growing up being pathologized is a huge barrier to self-advocacy and thriving at work. Yes, employers need to learn and adjust to #neurodivergent employees, but, imagine if our parents, teachers, therapists and community focus on what we are great at instead of everything that #autisticpeople are not??? Imagine that!!
We talked about our #autistic #specialinterest and how my Dad introduced me to stamp collecting!
