I'm on the verge of signing off for February to spend the month in Japan. A trip that has been on my bucket list since high school. This marks my longest break since embarking in the world of business in 2017 ❄️.
It has been a wild ride. Despite the challenges, I count myself fortunate to be part of the remarkable Startmate team 💜
In the profound words of Holly Brooks 🍄: “In a world where everyone has an opinion on everything and cancel culture is rampant, it’s easy for people to become paralysed by their fear of failure and oftentimes they end up doing nothing - or worse do something that isn't nearly as effective as what it could be. This is the kind of environment that breeds cynicism. But I think that’s what makes Startmate so special. Startmate and the community that underpins our very existence, is a living, breathing rejection of cynicism. It’s made up of thousands of wise people who have observed the world around them and said - we can do better. I can do better.”
While we may not have all the answers, the unwavering persistence of the 18 legends I call my team is nothing short of inspiring. They pour their hearts into every endeavour and are ruthlessly focused on making the biggest impact they can 💕
