Sleep is the Foundation believes it is the case after 27.4% of its visitors have answered an online survey.
🎓The academically demonstrated number was closer to 2.1% in 2018: https://lnkd.in/gqEnKu5f , which is probably a more credible number given the selection bias on sleepfoundation.org website.

Oura CEO talks about their vision, touching upon preventative care and consumer wearables to help detect conditions early and improve lifestyle for a longer and healthier life.
He also speaks about concierge physicians actively practicing proactive healthcare and seeking ways to help their patients.
There is a gap between wearables and healthcare. Currently, one needs a provider or physician to interpret the results and find effective data applications.
At Empower Sleep, we are building towards a similar vision: helping concierge physicians screen and address their patients' sleep care needs, as well as developing protocols using continuous monitoring that could ultimately be automated to create algorithms.
