Mandy George is an expert in environmental mainstreaming in humanitarian operations, accountability to affected people, communications within disaster and recovery settings, and community engagement. She holds a Distinction in MA Environment and Development Studies from King's College and a BA in European Studies with Spanish and French from UCL. Mandy has held various key roles in renowned organizations like the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), where she has led teams in disaster risk reduction, environment assessments, community engagement, and accountability. With a background in communications for the humanitarian, development, and environmental sectors, she has also contributed as a thematic expert in environment and climate change adaptation, communications consultant, and independent consultant.
