Do you think the Gen AI revolution will breathe life into other languages by making it easy to represent audiovisual content in different languages OR will it entrench the dominance of English as the language of technology and learning ? My belief is that it will do both in the medium term - Video will be easier to create in different languages and English will be the platform for technology development & prompts. In the long run, I think multiple languages will win simply because of easy creation, scale & discovery. We might even unlock languages that have been forgotten or are now extinct, including Hieroglyphics and cuneiform scripts. AND eventually for communication purposes, it won’t matter because we will all have babel fish kind of bionics. Ps: Content or Video sound like such limiting terms when envisaging the future. We need another term for what will be created. #AI #Futurism #Languages #GenAI #Debate
Gone are the times where the Brand was the face of a company. The new age audience increasingly needs a human face to a company. Think Elon Musk and Tesla Richard Branson and Virgin Vitalik Buterin and Ethereum Steve Jobs and Apple Bill Gates and Microsoft John Schnatter and Papa Johns James Dyson and Dyson Even Jeff Bezos and Amazon. Closer home, Anand Mahindra has done an exceptional job with associating his personal brand with Mahindra & Mahindra. And regardless of what you think of Vijay Mallya, you still cannot dissociate him from Kingfisher. Or Lalit Modi from IPL. Or Baba Ramdev from Patanjali.
The fact is that founders can speak with absolute authority about their brand and products. They have higher believability as well.
Of course, this has its flip side too. But that's a given anyway, in this day of social awareness and voice. No brand can remain sanitised from increasingly divisive public opinion. Companies need to plan for such situations than treat them as Black Swan events.
As they say, “Founders are inseparable from the brands they create.”
This is different from Brand anthropomorphization, and is more about Personal branding.
With AI and Digital Twins/Avatars, this will not just be possible, it will be imperative in the coming decades.
As an aside, we have seen Communications taking a far more important aspect of building a brand over the last decade. I think this calls for a deeper integration of Communications with Marketing, and not as two separate entities.
