Today on #WorldEarthDay we want to share our progress on the #forabetterhome climate action journey and our ambitions at #home24. When #LFCA initiated the climate action in the startup community and we joined the press coverage was: home24 with a business model shipping bulky furniture goods across the globe would not likely deliver upon the pledge to become carbon neutral... Only 4-5 quarters later the home24 SE team has not only achieved to measure and compensate our entire carbon footprint in Europe (including shipments from factory to customers, and incl. returns) together with Planetly and validated by #TüvRheinland, but we have committed to cutting our so called scope 1 and 2 emissions by 75%(!!!) by 2024. Until then, we will seek to further raise the bar in our industry with learnings on the way and new commitments on the environment, social sustainability and responsible consumption on our path to a net zero footprint - and in sum #forabetterhome of us all on planet earth!
