Hello LinkedIn -

Anyone using direct mail to drive sales back to Amazon or other marketplace channels?

Looking to get some information if this is a worthwhile tactic to explore. With Amazon attribution you can tie the sale back to a direct mail campaign.

Has anyone in my network done a similar tactic and willing to share their thoughts, experience or words of wisdom?

🚨 Prime Day 2023 Is Announced For July 11 - 12

There's debate in the industry as to how effective deal days like Prime Day are for the brand.

With rising CPC costs, competing against other brands also running deals, and the question of how valuable that customer is that is looking for a big discount, and what the net return is on the day - it's interesting to see everyone's perspective.

However, there is no debate it is one of the top shopping days of the entire year across all retailers and .com sites.

Some statistics from 2022 Prime Day that blew my mind:

➡️ Prime Day 2022 sales were $12 Billion up 8% over Prime Day 2021, which was up 7% since Prime Day 2020

➡️ Prime members in the U.S. purchased more than 60,000 items per minute during the 2022 event.

➡️ Prime members worldwide did the most shopping from 9 a.m.—10 a.m. PT on Tuesday, July 12 during the entire Prime Day event

➡️ Amazon Live Prime Day streams had more than 100 million views.

Some questions I like to think through Prime Day strategy:

➊ What items in my catalog make sense to discount (if any)? What lift could I see with no discounting?

➋ Are there slow-moving items I want to move to prevent storage fees?

➌ Are there new products I want to promote?

➍ Are there top sellers I want to get in the hands of more people?

➎ How can I use drive sales on my D2C website on the same day?
