So after years of building digital products, I decided to take on a home renovation project. I figured, "How hard could it be?" Three years, four rental properties, and a whole lot of white hairs later, my home renovation saga has finally come to an end and my family and I are finally living in our new home (and I'm writing this from my new office... hooray!).

Now that I've had some time to decompress and reflect, I've realized that this experience taught me far more than just how to choose the right grout color or how to design templates to help tilers cut tiles for oddly-shaped corners.

I recently decided to look back on the highs and lows of the renovation to see what we would have done differently if we magically went back to day one (just the thought of this gives me nightmares!). Surprisingly, I started to see quite a few parallels between the challenges I faced and the challenges I encountered during my years as a software entrepreneur, and decided to write a blog post about it. Here it is!

P.S. I'm not a home renovation expert by any means, but I'm happy to offer my advice to any of you out there going through the same thing... maybe, just maybe, it can help you avoid some of the mistakes I made!

Need some advice!

Just got an email from Amazon saying they have closed my account after claiming "your account is directly linked to another account, through , that we have previously closed for violating the terms of our conditions of use policy.".

This is extremely odd as I have only ever had this one account (the one that they just closed) so their reason already makes no sense. I use Amazon for many things - Fire tablets, Alexa, Fire TV and online purchases (which have all stopped working) but I just cannot figure out why this could have happened. I've never even asked for a refund.

Has this ever happened to anyone? Can I anyone shed some light on why this could have happened and what I could do?

Thanks!
