Dr. Marcelo Camperi is an accomplished physicist with a rich educational background and extensive experience in academia. He received his Ph.D. in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from Boston University and holds a BS/MS in Physics from Universidad Nacional de La Plata in Argentina.

Throughout his career, Dr. Camperi has held various key roles at the University of San Francisco, including Physics Department chairperson, Professor of Physics and Astronomy, Dean Emeritus, Special Assistant to the Provost, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Associate Dean for Sciences, and Assistant Professor of Physics. He also served as a Visiting Member at the Complex Systems Laboratory at the University of Rome 'La Sapienza' in Italy, a Visiting Scientist at the Santa Fe Institute, and a Visiting Scientist at the Center for BioDynamics at Boston University.

Dr. Camperi's academic journey includes roles as a Sloan Postdoctoral Fellow at the Volen Center for Complex Systems at Brandeis University, a Lecturer at the Department of Physics at Boston University, and a Postdoctoral Research Affiliate at the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at MIT. His research contributions extend globally, having been a Visiting Scientist at CERN in the Theory Division and at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics.

His expertise spans theoretical and mathematical physics, complex systems, bio dynamics, and cognitive sciences, reflecting a diverse and interdisciplinary approach to his work.
