Marcia Kadanoff is a seasoned startup entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in marketing, business strategy, sales, and business development.

She has a strong background in working with social-impact companies and nonprofits to enhance startup operations.

Previously, Marcia was the CEO & Co-founder of the Maker City Project, where she focused on civic innovation and economic opportunities within cities.

She authored the best-selling book 'Maker City: A Practical Guide to Reinventing American Cities' in 2017.

With a track record of success, Marcia has held CEO and CMO positions in venture-backed startups and has founded, managed, and sold two thriving marketing agencies, Open Marketing and Miller/Kadanoff.

Her expertise includes marketing due diligence, public-private partnerships, civic technology, nonprofit management, fund development, content marketing, strategic planning, leadership coaching, and startup coaching.

Marcia holds an MBA from Stanford University and a BA, Summa Cum Laude, in Psychology and Social Relations from Harvard University.

She is a former member of the leadership of the Direct Marketing Association and has held a leadership role at the Committee of 200, a prominent organization for women business leaders in the U.S.
