Highlights
After a thrilling ride in the world of supply chain robotics, I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Senior Marketing Manager at Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company! I'm excited to leverage my skills to make a meaningful impact in the efforts to close the education gap caused by the pandemic.
In the months leading up to this transition, I've been dedicating a portion of my time to assisting small businesses in my local community with product marketing and growth. The past few years have seen a high turnover of great local stores and restaurants that in one way or another didn't have the support they needed to succeed. I learned that for some, local consumerism has not returned to pre-pandemic levels, despite the overall rise in consumer spending.
The money spent at local independent businesses tends to circulate within the community more effectively, supporting local employment and contributing to the local economy's overall health. By volunteering to work with some of my favorites, I aim to help them establish a foundation for long-term success to fuel the local economy and provide for my neighbor's families. I share this to encourage you to think of ways that you can contribute to building the world you want to live in, too.
Here's to new beginnings and positive change!
