Maria CHRISTINA is a highly educated professional with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Sciences - Economics Studies from Università degli studi Roma TRE and a Master's Degree in Environment & Development for Developing Countries from the University of Reading.

She has a robust background in disaster management, having served as a Disaster Management Consultant at the World Food Programme and previously as a Junior Professional Officer (JPO) - Emergency Officer at the same organization.

Maria has also held significant roles at prominent organizations, including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations where she was a Programme Officer focusing on Natural Disasters & Gender Activities.

Her experience extends to project management and international cooperation, having worked as a Junior Project Manager for East Europe in the Department of International Cooperations in Italy at Formez.

Additionally, she has contributed to emergency operations as an Operations Officer Assistant at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN, particularly in the Technical Cooperation for Emergency Division (TCEO) in Italy.

Maria's passion for humanitarian work is evident through her various roles, such as conducting agriculture-based research projects in Nampula, Mozambique with Care USA and participating in emergency assistance programs during her internship at interSOS NON-Profit Organization.

She also gained valuable insights into international relations and humanitarian efforts while interning with the Division of Sub-Saharan Africa under the MAE-CRUI Programme at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
