Maria Mayanja

Maria Mayanja is an experienced professional in education, youth development, and entrepreneurship at Carnegie Mellon University Africa (CMU-Africa). She currently serves as the Entrepreneurship Program Manager at CMU-Africa, a position she has held since July 2021.2 In this role, she supports CMU-Africa students and alumni in launching and growing their technology business ventures through the Industry Innovation Lab (IIL).1

  • Co-founder of Impact Hub Kigali (June 2015 - September 2016)2

At CMU-Africa, Mayanja plays a crucial role in fostering entrepreneurship and innovation. She manages the university's incubator, coordinates the selection process for entrepreneurs, and connects them with resources, advisors, and mentors.1 Her work contributes to building a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in Africa, which she believes is "the future of the continent".3
