Dr. Maria Luisa Pineda is a bilingual doctor with a rich background in science and business, boasting over a decade of scientific expertise and adept organizational skills.

Maria holds a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, where she was an Arnold and Mabel Beckman graduate student and a William Randolph Hearst foundation scholar.

She has a BS in Molecular Biology from Barry University and studied Oncology at Stanford University alongside being a Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Fellowship Program participant for Scaling Excellence at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Maria's academic journey includes being an NIH fellow with the Minority Access to Research Careers (MARC U*STAR) Award and receiving an endowment of $2 million from the Goizueta Foundation for her undergraduate studies.

Her professional experience spans across various esteemed organizations such as Envisagenics, Inc., where she currently serves as the CEO and Co-Founder, pioneering a bioinformatics start-up company that spun out of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.

She has also interned at Golden Seeds, worked as a Consultant at Canrock Ventures, and been a Biotechnology Institute Mentee at OSI Pharmaceuticals.

With a solid foundation in science and a keen interest in business development, Maria is poised to make substantial contributions to decision-making processes and organizational success.
