Marie-Emilie's academic journey includes acquiring a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Institut d'Etudes Politiques d'Aix-en-Provence, as well as pursuing specialized courses like Humanitarian Diplomacy at DiploFoundation and International Law at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. She has also deepened her knowledge through an Executive Course on Islamic Law of Armed Conflict at the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.
Her professional tenure features impactful roles, including serving as the Head of Advocacy, Communications, and Partner Engagement at UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency within the Global Protection Cluster. Prior to this, she held positions such as Protection Cluster Coordinator at UNHCR, Protection Coordinator at the International Rescue Committee, as well as various roles at organizations like Croix-Rouge française, Danish Refugee Council, The Operations Partnership, ACTED, Geneva Call, and more.
Marie-Emilie's diverse experience spans roles from Protection Delegate to Grants Manager and Camp Programme Coordinator, reflecting her versatility and expertise in managing protection programs, supporting refugees, advocating for human rights, and contributing to humanitarian initiatives on a global scale.
