She served as the Chief Administrative Officer and Managing Director at Citibank Europe at Citi, where she was responsible for overseeing strategic programs in Europe. Prior to that, she held the position of Managing Director for Banking, Capital Markets, and Advisory in Latin America as well as General Counsel at Citigroup.

Before joining Citigroup, Mariel worked as a Senior Associate at White & Case and held Associate positions at Mayer Brown and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates. She also served as Corporate Counsel at CEMEX and was a Secondee at LUPICINIO EVERSHEDS.
