Imagine being young and homeless, couch surfing some days, and sleeping in your car the others. The grind of homelessness means you're always in a survival mode -- hungry, panicked, and trying to navigate a system that was not set up for your success. Specifically, COVID-19 has created dehumanizing and demoralizing barriers for many young people experiencing homelessness. Now, imagine there was a way you could help.

DreamKit is a 501(c)3 tech-nonprofit that helps youth reach stable employment and escalate out of homelessness.

DreamKit is an app that: 👩🏽‍🔬 empowers youth to build new skills, 💰 pays them for their progress, and 🙌🏽 connect them with employers in their communities

Please consider DONATING.

Our fundraising goal of 💵 25,000 💵 will help us 👫 recruit more youth experiencing homelessness to join the app 🙋🏽‍♀️ employ 10 more youth with homeless lived experience and add them to our leadership team

Currently, DreamKit serves young people in New Haven, CT. We plan to expand to three new cities by 2023, and the US in 2026.

For the last year I've been working on my tech startup, called DreamKit, which is an app that supports youth experiencing homelessness. I've been doing homeless advocacy, research, and community organizing since I was a lil' teenager in LA. Trying to understand homelessness has shaped my views on politics, academia, economics, spirituality, and even social interactions. And now, as an entrepreneur innovating at the intersection of youth homelessness and technology, I'm finding DreamKit's role in the world more important than ever.

Even before COVID-19, unstably housed youth were experiencing higher rates of food insecurity, joblessness, and social isolation -- and this pandemic has only exasperated the issue. My team, which includes 26 talented, determined, and brilliant individuals, have created DreamKit to address these pressing issues.

100% of your donations will go towards testing DreamKit's innovative model by allowing us to purchase gift cards to local businesses and grocery stores to help youth obtain basic needs.
