Highlights
I’m incredibly happy and honored to join the Stanford Board of Trustees and serve Stanford University and all of its schools, including Stanford Law School, in my new role.
I was honored to receive the Governors’ Award at Stanford University for “long-standing exemplary volunteer service” to the University, Stanford Law School, Stanford Athletics, Stanford Alumni Association, LEAD and other boards and volunteer efforts I have had the privilege to work on with fellow undergrad and law alumni. I postponed posting this but service at and through Stanford, including the Haas Center for Public Service, the Latino Law Students Association and the SLS community law clinic in East Palo Alto, and for other groups, has been one of my highest honors for about 25 years on behalf of and with such an exceptional and wonderful community. Congratulations to fellow award recipients past and present. Thanks to Vice President Howard E. Wolf, President Marc Tessier-Lavigne, Law Dean Jenny Martinez, Provost Persis Drell, VP Jon Denney, SAA VP Carolyn Manning, the Stanford Associates Board and so many others for an extra special recognition and ceremony. Happy to be on campus with alum spouse Kamba Tshionyi and to see so many (no better present on my birthday.) #ServicetoandthroughStanford
