If we want healthy, biodiverse and carbon absorbing forests, we need to be more proactive in stewardship of those forests. Particularly the reduction of dead and/or downed and diseased and dying trees together with the sustainable harvest of healthy trees. There is a better solution that can be implemented that Rick Doman highlights in this article. Managed forests can be healthier forests.
