Mark Koris

Independent Legal Services Professional

Dr. Mark Koris is an experienced Orthopedic surgeon with a background in microvascular surgery, orthopedic surgery, and hand surgery.

His career has been diverse, from early training in prestigious institutions like Johns Hopkins and Massachusetts General Hospital to focusing on general trauma in the middle part of his career.

During the later stages of his career, he specialized in shoulder and brachial plexus reconstruction as well as elbow and shoulder revision replacements.

Dr. Koris developed innovative techniques for total elbow revisions, making the process less traumatic for patients.

Unfortunately, his active surgical career was cut short by a brainstem stroke in December 2007.

Since then, he has been working as a consultant for insurance companies and as an expert witness in medical legal cases.

In addition to his medical expertise, Dr. Koris has a background in electrical and biomedical engineering, having completed coursework towards a Master's and Phd before pursuing medicine.

Throughout his career, he has been involved in teaching and training the next generation of surgeons, particularly in the field of upper extremity surgery.

Dr. Koris has been affiliated with various prestigious institutions such as Brigham and Women's Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Harvard Medical School.
