Dear LinkedIn friends - Many of you already know about Life Science Cares, an organization dedicated to providing support for families in our biotech communities who are struggling with basic necessities and educational opportunities.
To raise funds for this worthy cause, Luke Timmerman frequently organizes and leads hikes around the world. I participated in the September 2022 Presidential Traverse up in New Hampshire. He's roped me in again! Later this month, a small group of "Timmerman Alumni" will complete a single-day 18 mile point-to-point hike (with nearly a mile of "up") in the Alpine Lakes region of the Cascade Mountains of Washington State.
Personally, this will be a challenging day; I'm an optimist, but I understand there is already a lively betting pool.
