Mark Salerno is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience across the private, public, and education sectors, driving sustainability, energy efficiency, and innovation in Canada's building market.

With a diverse background in engineering, architecture, building operations, research, policy, finance, sales, marketing, and education, Mark excels at articulating value propositions to inspire action among various stakeholders.

Mark's expertise as a people leader, team builder, and partnership developer allows him to scale outcomes by aligning interests, vision, and mobilization strategies for success.

He holds a Master of Architecture from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Technology in Architectural Science from Ryerson University.

Previously, Mark held key positions such as the Innovative Energy Market Chief at J.L. Richards & Associates Limited (JLR) and the Project Principal and National Leader for Sustainability and Energy Services at Sense Engineering.

He also contributed significantly to Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) in various roles including Manager of Executive Engagement & Events, Senior Manager of Communications and Marketing, and Ontario Centre Manager of CMHC International, among others.

Furthermore, Mark served as the Chief Operating Officer at Salerno Residential Rentals and was an active member of the Executive Board at Canada Green Building Council - GTA Chapter.

His extensive career also includes positions like National Sales Team Leader, Municipal Infrastructure Lending Program at CMHC, President of Salerno Design Consultants, and a Professor at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology.
