Diversity fines of $1.2bn in the last two years - here's what you need to do to avoid them.

This is how much the EEOC has fined US companies in the past two years - and there are 80,000 new cases brought to EEOC every year (according to a recent article on MeriTalk, see comments for link).

More importantly, EEOC Commissioner Keith Sonderling said that “if properly designed and carefully used,” AI has the “promise” to improve employment decision making “by removing some of the normal issues with human hiring.”

What is "properly designed" is still unclear - but NYC Local Law 144 ("the AI Bias Law") is certainly a step in the right direction - and this is why Bryq was one of the first companies to get a 3rd party bias audit from Holistic AI.

DEI needs transparency, and as Gerry Crispin said last week "We're gonna have to use assessments that we've been reluctant to use in the past because assessments are transparency and transparency has to be defended."

If you want to boost DEI, improve hiring outcomes, optimize for performance and tenure, align Culture for new and existing employees, and also avoid EEOC fines - ping me, and let's have a chat.
