Marko Ayling

Co-Host, Co-Producer and Travel Documentary Film Maker at Vagabrothers

Marko Ayling is a well-traveled journalist with an educational background in international affairs and economics, who discovered his passion for foreign cultures, journalism, creative writing, and film-making after working on a micro-finance project in rural India post-graduation from UCLA.

In 2013, Marko and his brother won the international film contest called the Biggest, Baddest, Bucket List, which allowed them to travel the world for six months and document their experiences on YouTube. Their engaging 50-video series can be viewed on youtube.com/watchbbbtv.

Currently based in Los Angeles, Marko is expanding into developing a travel show concept for American television and remains keen on opportunities in journalism, travel film making, writing, and social enterprise.

Marko Ayling has held various roles in organizations such as Critical Content, YouTube, Tastemade, My Destination, Travora, Vagabrothers, Democracy Now! Productions, SutroMedia, Off Track Planet, Ministerio de Educación, Somaiya Group, Einstein Minds Company, University of California, Los Angeles, and the U.S. Department of State.

His educational achievements include studying international affairs and economics at the University of California, DC Center, a BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, Travel Journalism and Journalism at MatadorU, and courses in creative writing, travel journalism, and creative non-fiction at the Paris American Academy.
